HOW MUCH WATER DO YOU USE?

In the United States, the average person uses 168 gallons of water each day. Even though this may sound like a lot, it is only a "drop in the bucket" compared to other uses.

How much do you use?

Try to see how much water you use for one day. You may be surprised with the results.

Instructions:

1.   Write the number of times you do each activity every day. Then have an adult help you

estimate the number of gallons you think you use during each activity.

2.   Check the answers with your class. Who uses the most water? What activity uses the most

water? Who uses the least amount of water?
