Construction Progress Update as of January 5, 2012:
Work completed:
Added layer of road base around certain access roads to mitigate dust
Trailer delivered. Power, water, and sewer hookups almost complete.
Clearing and grubbing of areas south, west, and east of Terminal Reservoir.
Excavation beginning for Sam Park Outlet Vault (west of existing Sam Park Reservoir).
On-going earthwork and fill west of Terminal Reservoir.
Potholing of many existing utilities.
Preliminary modification to 3300 South entrance.
Work scheduled for the upcoming weeks is as follows:
Install fabric along existing perimeter fence (Dust Control).
On-going potholing of existing pipe.
Pipe delivery.
Pipe installation (HDPE) along north and west of Sam Park Reservoir.
Adding fill (soil) to areas west of Terminal Reservoir.
Continued dust control measures including water trucks, magnesium chloride, and road base on established roads.
Construction Progress Update as of December 20, 2011:
The Contractor (Alder Construction) has received the necessary permits to begin work on the Terminal Reservoir & Sam Park site. Work scheduled for December is as follows:
Install silt fence along the perimeter of the site (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan).
Install fabric along existing perimeter fence (Dust Control).
Potholing of existing pipe.
Pipe delivery.
Tree removal near 3300 south entrance.
Deliver office trailer to site.
Installation of temporary power, sewer and water services.
Temporary traffic control along 3300 south to allow delivery of large equipment and materials.
